Several CLUE faculty and affiliate faculty were recognized last month at the Extension Professionals Associations of Florida (EPAF) conference, where awards for the Florida Association of Natural Resources Extension Professionals (FANREP) were presented.
UF/IFAS Extension Seminole County agent Tina McIntyre won several FANREP awards, including an Achievement Award for Outstanding Team. Kaydie Gene McCormick led the “Get Your Grove On” webinar series with Tina McIntyre, Morgan Pinkerton, William Lester, and Tia Silvasy.
Wendy Wilber, Florida Master Gardener Volunteer statewide program coordinator, was part of the team winning first place in the long publication category for Getting into the “Weeds”: An Introduction to Common Lawn Plants and Their Ecological Benefits in North Central Florida. The other authors are Olesya Malakhova, Kacey A. Russo, Jesse C. Jones, Brooke L. Moffis, Johanna S. Walker, and Basil V. Iannone III.
Lisa Krimsky, along with co-author Elizabeth Staugler won second place in the same category for State of the Science for Cyanobacterial Blooms in Florida. Third place went to Tina McIntyre et al for A Florida-Friendly Landscaping™ Approach to Pest Management in Your Edible Landscape.
