Rooted in Reality: Practical Solutions for Changing Urban Landscapes

The Urban Landscape Summit brings together leading experts, scientists, industry professionals, state agencies and utility providers to discuss Florida’s landscape challenges and build resilient, sustainable communities.

The 2026 summit will be two days of focused discussion on Florida’s evolving landscape and urban development issues. Topics will include the future of water governance, population growth and the impact on water supply, turf’s place in a resilient landscape, urban heat management and more. External partners will present on the challenges facing their industry, agencies and all of Florida to conserve water. Discussion panels will feature developers, builders and water management professionals about the future of Florida water.

The summit is held every two years. Join other IFAS researchers, community developers, landscape architects, government agencies and many others in 2026 as we explore how to build resiliency through water conservation.
